Plants, Garden Beds & Mulch
New beds built properly, the right plants for the spot, and mulch that keeps it all healthy.
This is the fastest visual upgrade a garden can get: well-shaped beds, healthy soil, plants chosen for the position, and a generous mulch finish. Small scope, big difference — done in days, enjoyed for years.

Options & materials
How the work is completed
- Assess each bed's sun, soil and purpose
- Clear weeds and improve the soil
- Edge, plant and set feature stones
- Mulch to depth and water everything in
Preparation & drainage
Beds get the same respect as lawns: improved soil, mounding where clay drains slowly, and mulch kept clear of stems so moisture helps plants instead of rotting them.
Residential & commercial
Perfect small-scope residential work — a weekend-sized transformation done in a day or two. For commercial sites, scheduled mulch top-ups and bed refreshes keep street appeal consistent year-round.
From our recent work

Common questions
How deep should mulch be?
Around 75mm settles to an effective layer — enough to suppress weeds and hold moisture without smothering plants. Thin 'sprinkle' mulching is largely cosmetic.
How often does mulch need topping up?
Organic mulches typically want a refresh every year or two as they break down into the soil — which is exactly what they're supposed to do.
Can you just do one bed?
Yes. Single-bed makeovers are a genuinely worthwhile job — no project is too small to do properly.
